TotilPay Register is a tablet POS license with published retailer prices. SNAP authorization and WIC vendor approval are separate government paths. USDA Food and Nutrition Service authorizes SNAP retailers. A store that wants WIC must separately follow its state WIC agency’s vendor and approved-POS requirements.

Figures below are transcribed from TotilPay’s Register pricing URL, retrieved 2026-09-13. TotilPay can change them. USDA still decides whether your store may accept SNAP. That path is on the EBT and SNAP page.

For WIC, check the state before committing to the hardware. The New Jersey WIC POS page tells retailers to verify eWIC support with the state agency before choosing a provider. Illinois says all new WIC vendors must be able to accept WIC with an integrated cash register unless they meet participant access criteria, and it publishes a list of currently certified POS providers. A SNAP Permit does not establish WIC vendor approval, and a product’s national marketing does not prove that its exact setup is approved in your state.

TotilPay Go, a separate license

TotilPay Go pricing is a separate handheld license. This page quotes Register dollars only, from the Register pricing URL retrieved 2026-09-13.

Confirm classification and equipment programs with FNS, not with a vendor landing page.

TotilPay Register, the counter license

TotilPay Register pricing lists retailers at $49.95 a month plus $129 for the initial card reader, or $479.90 a year plus that $129 reader. The product page repeats those numbers and calls the annual path a $120 saving.

You still supply the tablet and data. Register is listed as iOS 16 or later only. It is not available on Android.

Credit and debit still settle through a processor. SNAP still needs FNS authorization before you accept a benefit card. TotilPay’s Register page is not a Visa or Mastercard merchant-discount schedule.

What TotilPay does not replace

TotilPay does not grant SNAP authorization. Square EBT has the same split, which we cover on the Square EBT page. FNS still has to authorize the store before the first benefit sale.

A separate NRS EBT add-on comparison lives on the NRS Pay page. TotilPay’s Register license is software plus a reader, not that NRS add-on.

Counter Club’s published in-person sample is 2.50% plus $0.10, keyed and online 2.90% plus $0.25, with a $0 monthly fee on that sample schedule. Sample pricing applies to new accounts applying directly. Pricing is subject to underwriting, MCC and the merchant agreement; rates may differ and are subject to change. See pricing. If you already have a TotilPay quote, send it next to a written schedule.

Frequently asked questions

Does buying TotilPay let me take SNAP tomorrow? No. USDA has to authorize the store. The license is equipment and software.

Does SNAP authorization also approve the store for WIC? No. USDA FNS handles SNAP retailer authorization. WIC vendor approval and the acceptable eWIC POS path come through the state WIC agency, so verify both the store and the exact setup with that agency.

Is the $129 reader the only hardware cost? No. Register’s page says you provide the smart device and data. The annual total on that page is the license plus the reader.

Can I run Register on Android? Not according to the Register pricing page retrieved 2026-09-13.

Is TotilPay a replacement for a full c-store POS? Pump control, lottery and scan data are not on the Register pricing page retrieved 2026-09-13. Ask in writing if you need those.
